How It Works
FIRST SESSION: THE BEGINNING OF YOUR STORY
“Hi! I’m Brandon! Someday I want to be an artist.”
Welcome to Running Readers! Are you ready to begin the story of a lifetime? Did you know that it's your story? Are you ready to put your fingers on it? Today you're getting your very own blank book! Don't worry about choosing a cover yet. We have some things we'd like to ask you.

- What would you like to do or be, if you could be ANYTHING?
This is your story. Don't worry if you don't quite know how to write yet. We have the tools to teach you. This is your author's box.
We'll identify your interests. We'll ask you what you'd like to be. We want you to dream BIG. By the end of the first session, we'll know exactly what you (and your parents) hope to accomplish.
SESSION TWO: Meet Your Teacher
Are you ready to meet your teacher? Our teachers are highly-trained professionals (some with teaching licenses, some with simply years of age-appropriate experience working in their respective fields). We absolutely love what we do and follow our driving (er, running) Running Readers philosophy: We're here to help you find what you love to do, and we can't wait to teach you.
SESSIONS 3 TO INFINITY: REALIZING YOUR DREAM, Branching Out & Adding Fresh Chapters
Your teacher will have specific material prepared for you. In the coming weeks You have a few options. You can choose to stick with your first teacher, who will have specific material prepared for you. The magic here is that each session is flexible and entirely depends on YOU — you work together with your teacher to come up with next session's game plan.
Or you can migrate between interests. Think of it as your coat of many colors, the feathers of some magnificent rainbow bird — you can choose a secondary teacher to add to this primary teacher, or mix & match from session to session to explore a wide range of interests.
After all, remember that (mostly) blank book you received at the beginning? It's begun getting full. Look back and see how far you've traveled. Look forward to what's next on the path you're taking — your path is always up to you. See how far you'll go.
OPTIONAL SESSIONS, ALTERNATE ENDINGS, AND CULMINATIONS FOR FRIENDS & FAMILY
Every few sessions, we review your journey. At the end of one learning "cycle," you have three options: you can put together a "show," lead a "teach," and/or do a "good deed."
The "Show"
Now is the time to proudly showcase to the world your newfound abilities. Maybe you've learned (or even composed) some songs and you can put on a piano recital. Perhaps you've done some drawings and can put on an art show. Maybe you can pin your A+ papers on a cork board, gather some chairs and snacks, and stage readings at a coffee house. This is the culmination of your dream.
The "Teach"
As all our teachers know and prove time and time again, the true mark of mastery in a subject is being able to teach that subject. We'll work with you to formulate a lesson plan for one of your own sessions, so that you can go off into the world or continue with a degree before you even graduate. You'll "look good" on a resume for what it's worth, but more importantly, you'll have discovered your innate talents. Whenever it's time for you to go off to college, you'll have an amazing new skill set under your belt.
The "Good Deed"
Our goal at Running Readers is to inspire you, to help you find your story, so you can inspire the world. We'll help you come up with a good deed to inspire others if you need help, or you can hatch the idea on your own. Throw a benefit race; lead a bird walk; volunteer to read to kids. Give someone a lucky penny, help someone by being yourself, save the world: remember the road you've traveled, never, ever stop, and
